Choosing to become an organ or tissue donor is a powerful way to help others and potentially save lives. At Chaparral Registry & Insurance, you can register your consent to donate right here in our office, and we'll make sure your decision is recorded and properly reflected on your Alberta driver's licence or ID card.
What you need to know:
● Healthcare professionals always prioritize saving lives. Choosing to be a donor does not impact the quality of medical care you receive.
● Anyone can be a potential organ or tissue donor, but you must be at least 18 to register your consent.
● Donations will only occur after all life-saving efforts have been made and will not affect your preferred funeral arrangements.
● There is no cost to your family or estate for organ or tissue donation.
● Over 4,500 Canadians—including more than 500 Albertans—are currently waiting for an organ transplant.

● When you register at our office, your choices are added to the Alberta donor database and a heart icon will be added to your licence.
